ABOUT US

Did You Know...

Our companies need a competitive, technology-skilled workforce, but enrollment in the “STEM” disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math is not keeping up with our job needs.

Let’s give our students the opportunities!

Our Mission …

Inspire and support students to connect to technology educational and career opportunities through corporate, community and academic partnerships

Who We Are ...

Formed in 2007, ConnectToTech volunteers are business professionals; high school, middle school, and university educators; and supporters from other community organizations.

What We Do ...

Our volunteers have engaged with over 7,000 students to connect the academic school day to real-world technology experience through workplace tours and job shadowing, technology trade shows, presentations by professionals, online information resource material.

The group played an integral part in the implementation of the TechPREP and STEM Tech programs at Stony Brook University funded by the Motorola Solutions Foundation to engage middle school girls from under-served Long Island communities into a technology competency-building pathway.

How We Assist …

Educators – contact us to learn how we can support your school programs or offer workplace experiences for your students and check out our web site for innovative program ideas and funding sources -

Business Professionals – contact us to learn more about how you and/or your company can offer workplace tours, job shadows, and in-school career event support to build our students’ experience.

Parents – check out our web site and bring the organization to the attention of your school district.

Students – participate in one of our programs!
